“Very good hotel, worth some 4 stars experience.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 6, 2011

This was my first time in Park Inn, I know Radisson and was actually pleasantly surprised.
The hotel conveys a boutique hotel feeling. It's brand new, not pretentious in the decor.
We had the junior suite with a terrasse. It's really worth the little extra. Everything was in order, the furniture is simple but nice and you enjoy a panoramic view on Antwerp (not that it is beautifull but it makes for lots of light in the room) In the summer time you can even sunbath there.
Another treat: you can enjoy the swimmingpool and the sauna at the sister hotel Radisson on the other side of the street.
Breakfast was ok, good for all sugared items but a bit poor for cheese, meat etc...
Only two minus: you have to carry your luggages in the stairs to go on the 8th floor because the elevators stop on the 7th and you have to ring a bell for access to the hotel at night.
Yet: very good value hotel.

If you travel by train to Antwerp (especially with luggage), this hotel is probably the best choice. Right out of the Antwerp Central station, it takes you literally one minute to walk in and saves all the trouble of finding a taxi and everything. It is a small hotel and is recently renovated in a comtemporary/minimalistic style. Room is not big but very cozy and comes with everything you would expect from a standard business-oriented hotel. Bathroom is very bright with an over sized shower room (no tub), great water pressure and temperature too. Free wifi is available throughout the hotel and breakfast also won't disappoint you. My room is a 'business room' and it overlooks the square and comes with free Nespresso which are definitely appreciated. The only thing is that the room rate is on a slightly higher end for this type of business hotel - but I guess it probably is not the case by European stardard. Great hotel, definitely recommended.

Initially I was not impressed as we had booked online using through another hotel booking agency and when we arrived two staff could not find our booking anywhere after searching for some time. As we had already received a confirmation email we wanted to print out to show them but they did not have a computer we could use to do this and asked us to walk across the street to their other hotel to get a print out which I found quite annoying. We returned with the print out and they found us on their computer system and apologised. They said they had been busy over the weekend and there were some 'lost' reservations.
However, after that initial stress our stay was fantastic. The staff were polite and very helpful with tourist information and the TV ran a video of things to do in Antwerp on a loop which was a great idea that more hotels should pick up on.. The rooms were spotless and the bathroom larger than expected. The hotel is right near the railway station and zoo so it is very easy to find. I would definitely stay there again.

Booked into this hotel based on reviews on tripadvisor, I now know that this hotel is very over rated. Check-in was not easy problems with staff and procedures. My main complaint is over the room which was a Junior Suite. The room was located on the 8th floor, however the passenger lift only goes to the 7th floor, you then use stairs, which are no more than an emergency staircase. No mention of this on the web-site. The rooms itself was spacious and bright, that's about it. The bathroom was of a very poor standard, heated towel rail did not work, shower head was broken, the shower leaked water on the floor which left rotten stain on the bath mat. The floor itself seemed of a very poor standard looked like it needed a very good clean. The hospitality tray again very poor, even though you pay an additional price for a suite, if you need more than 4 Nespresso capsules you have to pay for them. Walls of the rooms very thin as on two occasions on the same day you could hear exactly what the 2 different couples next door were doing!

Breakfast again was very poor, much of the hot breakfast was cold or barely warm, pastries tasted like made the day before, coffee completely tasteless.

The Park Inn is classed as 3 star and that is exactly how the hotel is reflected. Having read previous reviews prior to booking I agree with others who claim that some reviews are a bit too glowing. We stayed for two nights whilst spending a short break driving through Belgium and Holland. People staying here and travelling by car should be aware that 2 nights parking in a nearby car park cost 36 euros.

The location is very near the Central Railyway station, the zoo, the diamond museum and the diamond district, however it approximately 20-30mins walk in the evening to the Grote Markt area of Antwerp, where many of the bars and restaurants are located.

The Park Inn was reasonably priced and generally good value, however we opted out of breakfast, which was priced at 16 Euros per person. This seemed a bit extreme and there are a few places nearby where you can pick up a coffee and a snack.

The hotel rooms and communal areas were very clean and the staff were very friendly.
Free wifi was available and was one of the reasons we picked this hotel, however whilst this worked the first night we couldn't get the access code to work the second night despite requesting a new code. This was quite frustrating when trying to book other aspects of our trip.

The room we had was very small, verging on claustrophobic and we had a non existence view!! There wasn't a great amount of room to move freely in the room and if you had much luggage it would be a nightmare.

The bed was really comfortable, however they did skimp on pillows. Temperature in the room can be controlled through the AC.

The bathroom had grouting that needed repairing and the glass shower door didn't close properly, however in comparison to the room, the bathroom was a really good size and the walk in shower was quite good.

Although we didn't take up the offer you are able to use the facilties at the Radisson Blu across the road and also receive 15% off in The Square, which is the bar located in the Radisson Blu.

Despite a few niggles I believe that this hotel was good value compared to others I considered.

Good location, especially for train and bus trips either locally or to airport/abroad.

Excellent breakfeast (Scandinavian style) for being on the Continent (Belgium, Holland, UK, Germany, France. One of the best ever outside Scandinavia and then I have traveled a lot during the years.

I had a very nice buisness friendly big room with a very good veiw out in the square below. Very helpful staff, also enjoyed the option to use the nearby Radisson Hotels fitness & pool/Sauna area.

Also nice clean bathroom, with great towles, only negative that I can tell about this hotel is these small hard containers of schampoo (hard to get the schampoo out) could be better sulotion.

I have stayed several times when in Antwerp for biz trips on this fine hotel , it is great for bussiness , next to the train station , very close to the direct bus to Brussels airport and within walking distance to Meir and old city of Antwerp, service is very nice , prices are very competitive , free internet at the rooms , and for restaurant you can eat at the facilities of sister hotel which is located like 30 meters. Breakfast offered in the hotel is adequate enough and service is very good for bussiness.
