Stayed on ithe Marjorie for 2 nights and enjoyed it very much. The location coulndt be more perfect. The ship is beautiful and its in walking distance to the shops, nightlife, restaurants and all. We had the suite, which has a bubblebad so that was very much fun to get warm after we went christmas shopping. Breakfast in the morning was excellent, belgian bread in all sorts. There's a bar on board, so we had some nice drinks in the evening. Had a great weekend ;D

We did an unexpected visit to Antwerp and managed to book a room on the Marjorie II. It was really fun to sleep on a huge (and beautiful) sailing boat, right next to the MAS, Antwerp's breathtaking city museum.

The room we slept in was tiny but clean and functional. The beds (two single beds) were alright, felt a bit old, but nothing dramatic and for one night it was no problem at all.

The only shortcoming to the room was the relative lack of air, we couldnt air out the bathroom after our showers in the evening and the room didnt smell very good when we woke up.

The breakfast was lovely, the staff were kind and its overall very exciting to sleep on a boat, so we had a good time. I would recommend it to young couples or friends. It might be a bit unconventional for a business trip...

We stayed here for one night - we were the only people on board - and were very pleased by the cute bedroom (the window was almost level with the water) and the comfortable lobby area. We were served a lovely hot breakfast by the owner, who was very attentive to our needs. The boat is moored very tightly, so there was no rocking back or forth.

The Antwerp harbor is a nice place to walk around, and its easy to take the tram/bike into the city center. It's a bit of a long walk otherwise.

Overall a fun, simple but novel hotel!

The Marjorie II is a lovely boat with a nice interior and a reasonable amount of comfort for a boat. When we arrived, the hotel was a surprise from my husband, so I didn't know what to expect. From the outside, the boat was not extremely impressive (although the hottub on the deck did catch my eye), but inside was a surprise. It had a lot of sitting space and a lovely dinning area, which was nice for us since we were travelling with another couple. It was a lot more intimate and private that your usual hotel lobby. The boat only has six rooms, and each of them has a view right out onto the water. The bed was reasonably comfortable, and I was impressed with the large shower (although the multiple jets did not work in our room), and the bathroom was not extremely private. There was a sheer folding door, but very little else to help keep your private business away from your bunkmate.

We stayed in the B&B for two nights. The first night, it was difficult to get the room warm enough, and December can be pretty chilly in Antwerp. The second night, the power went out completely. We were able to inform the staff, who fixed it within 20 minutes. It turned out the boat was sharing power with another boat who had Christmas lights that shorted out the electricity when it started raining. Another guest told us that she had stayed there before when it was hot outside, and it was also difficult to get the room cool enough.

The complementary breakfast was specially prepared each morning, and fresh eggs were cooked-to-order. I was told we would have the option of also ordering Belgian waffles, but the first morning, the cook was not informed and had not made the batter. I never did get my promised waffles.

Overall, this was a decent experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere was nice. I don't think we would elect to stay there again, but it was nice to try once.

The boat is not hard to find, basically next to the MAS Museum. After a while we found a free parking-space very nearby. We were welcomed with a free drink, which was nice. We were given a map of Antwerp with some tips for specialty-shops. We were advised to walk along the Schelde instead of walking the first streets through Antwerp to the Grote Markt. Later we discovered that these streets are the redlight district and indeed in the evening, this little part of the city gave us a creeply feeling. Walking along the Schelde river is just fine.
Very nearby the B & B are several nice restaurants. We went to Felix Pakhuis which was very good.
The room was small (ofcourse, being on a boat) but had everything we needed including a clean bathroom. The bed was comfortable. All in all a good experience!
