I called ahead to make sure that we had a spot. It was my daughter's 18th birthday you see, and she LOVES sushi. We have been to sushi bars all over the world, but never seemed to find "the right one" for us here in the Antwerp region where we live.
I was a bit hesitant, silly of me, but I kind of choose a place based on their website usually. I need to see a menu with prices, that they have and I need to see pics, that they didn't, except for the front of the restaurant...again, I know it's silly of me, but I feel like you can tell allot about a place based on how much they invest into their website.
Anyway, I called in advance, told them that it was my daugther's birthday. We were very well received, the waitress was really nice and patient with us, my husband loves looking through a menu and choosing stuff we never had before. She answered all of our questions and the service was at a good speed. We had the Edaname of course and we order allot of sushi. It tasted great, the presentation was like most sushi places...we got the boat, didn't order one but I think we ordered too much sushi to be put on anything else. We also had a basket with sashimi in it. My husband and son left the table for natures call and when my daughter and myself were alone, the waitress came out with a small cake with fireworks...too bad that the guys weren't there at that moment, but still, you should have seen my daughter's face! They even put the number 18 on it!. Yes, this was a good evening with good service and great fresh sushi. Plus, we paid much less than what we expected...Try it out for sure!
