Description: Café De oude mol is a lovely little place for drinks and food. The kitchen is opened Wednesday through Saturday and serves small tasty Mediterranean and middle eastern inspired dishes which you can order single or combine into a tasty meal. Everything home made with lots of love. The friendly staff serves simple but tasty wine. Or if you prefer beer, there is a good variety to choose from. Surrounded by the antique interior it becomes easy to relax, have a bite and enjoy your evening

“'gezellig', friendly and tasty food”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

....... highly recommend a visit - it has atmosphere and some great tapas style dishes... interior and food has fusion Mediterranean/Dutch coziness. I had a fondue special which was really yummy. All the food was very tasty but be careful how much you order as the prices vary quite a bit and it can add up -but the quality is excellent.
House red was very quaffable and the warmth of the place on a chilly dark night was welcoming as were the staff.
Do make a reservation as it is very busy and popular - I asked the hotel to ring and though they were full at that time - three quarters of an hour later we were sitting in our seats as they found room for us!

“a place to go for evening drinks”
Reviewed August 6, 2012

This is one of the cutest and most unusual bars in The Hague. It's a great place to go for the last drink of the evening as it is open slightly later than other bars. It may be small and narrow, but there are frescoes painted on the wall which resemble the view of the Alhambra in Granand from El Albaicin. The bathrooms also have quirky decor. You can sit outside in Summer but there are not many tables. Cosy in Winter as well.

“Tiny little hole in the wall, but the food and the bar was impressive!”
Reviewed January 26, 2012

We were a group of 7 expats nestled into a tiny benched table on what is likely the smallest stage at the back of the restaurant. (There is a more spacious area upstairs, but we wanted the coziness). We enjoyed our evening sharing nearly everything on the menu, including little plates of prawns, potatoes, cheese, veggies etc... One of my friends made the recommendation and we were not disappointed. There is a reason the place fills up ever night; the food, beer and friendly staff make it feel like a crowded kitchen party.
