I can't figure out who has given this place such positive reviews. The service is sparse, the furniture is cheap and worn, the room concept is badly flawed (not even a door to the washroom, just a sheer curtain), there are far too few amenities (no irons/ ironing boards in your room... you have to go to another floor to DIY!!!). The few people who work here are lovely and the location is convenient, but otherwise, I find little redeeming about this place and caution people to reconsider. There are much better appointed and serviced hotels within walking distance for reasonable prices. My rooms were prepared nonrefundable through Orbitz, which means I'm stuck here, bitterly disappointed, for the remainder of my business trip in one of the best cities in the world.

Returned to Den Haag 25 years after living there for 3 years. A lot had changed but themain layout was still recognisable. There's very little to improve on the value for money of this venue. The location is right in the centre of the city very close to the Binnenhof. The staff are very helpful and very friendly and - because it's the Netherlands - they all speak perfect English. The rooms are reasonably sized for a city centre hotel in Europe. If you have the standard apartment, you walk into a sitting area that contains a small wardrobe, a safe, a microwave, a small fridge and a sink - all behind a sliding door. A settee, a desk and a chair are also provided and these are curtained off from the large-sized double bed. The bathroom is also relatively large - it has a walk-in shower and a full-sized bath together with a good-sized basin. The whole space is really well designed. It's not the same as apartment hotels in the US - it's smaller and not as well provided - for example, no cutlery or crockery. But, at the price and in this location, it really is almost impossible to beat. If you do decide to use the microwave and/or fridge, there's a good value supermarket directly opposite across the bike path - and beware the bikes. Did I say I liked it here?
