“"A Market place where you can almost buy anything you need"”

The Haagse Markt is well connected by tram & bus. You may take Tram 6 from Centraal station or Bus #25 from Grotte Market. The market is open for 4 days on Monday, Wednesday, Friday & Saturday and is a delightful place to buy fresh fruits, vegies, meat, seafood and olives & spices & dry condiments. They also have eateries to wet your appetite when you are hungry. Try the dutch fried fish cutlets with different sauces to top it. You may find strong presence of Turkish, Iranian influence in the various stall holders that run the stores.
Weather does play a part as it is an open area and you are not sheltered from rain or sun, so do bring along your brollies if you like to explore the market.
There are also may stores selling clothes, handbags, accessories and even second hand warm clothes and shoes to fit.
If are in Den Haag, give it a visit to experience this open market.

“The absolute must shop when you're living in Den Haag”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 26, 2013

This is apparently the biggest market in Western Europe. I'll agree, it is massive. It's not the best market in Europe, but if you're living here, it's a must to get all your produce from this place. Fruit and vegies are sold here from all across Europe and it's high quality and well priced. There is also a strong Turkish and Iranian influence here, which is great from olives and spices too.

A must go when you're living here.
