Out for lunch near Kijkduin, The Hague, right next to the Blue Sea. Good weather. Just the spot for a bite to eat. So I chose The Fish Club, by far the most elegant of the restaurants and eateries in this area. Only a pity that the view is of a parking lot and a bus turn-about.
The restaurant is airy and spacious. Pleasant open bar; fine fresh-fish counter; open kitchen; nice display of wines. There's also a large outside seating area with comfortable tables but also with a lounge area.
Efficient waiting staff if a bit slow (but that may have been due to the fact that there were few spread out over a large area.
For lunch I had a nice glass of Viognier; (free!) tap water, and a deliciously marvelous Salade nicoise. Excellently prepared with really sizable chunks of just-seared tuna, enough anchovy, some potatoes, good and crispy lettuce, onion rings, capers. Delicious.
Topped off with an expresso coffee. Very reasonable prices.
In short: highly to be recommended.
