Food here is very tasty indeed. The white linen is very smart and neat. Staff were attentive although pace is not hurried at all. We had a meal that catered for all tastes and levels of adventurousness in our family, including teenage children. Quite a lot of other customers were business types but we all happily fitted together.

Raffles definitely justifies its great reviews! We went as a family of five with 8, 13 and 15 year olds in tow - and we all had a great time. The one waitress did an excellent job of accommodating everyone's needs, was cheerful about changing some items on the menu and all other aspects of the meal.

The food takes some time to arrive and was perfectly cooked clearly prepared for us (you ca not fake the preparedness level of the duck and the tenderloin!).

Every single dish was a hit, ordering three rice-tables was enough food for the five of us. Desserts were amazing - South-Asian fruit and mango sorbet and mousse were a light choice after such a heavy meal.

Yes - it is expensive, but at the end you get good value. We spent two and half hours and had a great time!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant after peaking in the window and noting that it looked charming and somewhat elegant. By happenstance, we found a treasure. This restaurant serves Indonesian Food. We opted to buy the 29 euro per person dinner with a coconut based soup, beef and a three-sorbet/ice cream dessert. The first starter was a complementary prawn starter--which was beautiful and delicious. In fact, every course was flavorful, gorgeous-looking and enjoyable. The wine selections were also great. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

I have just finished a delicious meal in The Raffles, The Hague. Sambal goreng pedis of chicken liver, an entrecote on spicy vegetables and greens in coconut cream. Attentive and friendly service, at this moment they are lrtting me sit kn piece unbeknownst I am writing this evaluation. Thd Raffles celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and that is a recommendatio n by itself. Go and enjoy!

So on a relaxing Saturday night going for some good food.
It had been a while we went here. And actually we should have gone way before today, as the food was great :-)
For example for starters, we took amongst other satays. In the Netherlands, a satay is normally some meat which is drown under peanut sauce. Not at all here, those were simply very nice skewers with a gentle touch of different meats and sauces.
The steam cooked crab and fish cooked in a banana leave was simply excellent.
Then for main some chicken, simple and delicious, and lam, with so many fantastic spices.

So this place offers very refined indonesian food, without the usual heavy food of other "traditional" indoneasian restaurant in the Netherlands.

For the service, it's good and efficient, nothing special to say about that one.
