Description: Mochi was born out of pure love! Patrick Buyze and Lissette Parra created a concept that intertwined both of their passion for travel and food. The restaurant offers a unique style of community dining serving Japanese-Latin American inspired dishes. The "Chefs Choice Menu" allows room for creativity and variety. With each course, you are served several distinct dishes to share and experience a journey of flavors like our famous Frikandel Speciaal. Aside from the menu there are a few classic items that can be ordered like the Pizza Sashimi, Bonito Waved Tiger Prawns and Hirado Asparagus. This innovative "new style" of cooking was influenced during both of their extensive travels around the world including Japan, China, Indonesia, Thailand, Colombia, Argentina, Brasil and many others which led to this success.

“Our Favorite Restaurant in The Hague”

We love Mochi. I can always take colleagues or visitors for a great meal, a nice wine selection and good service. Friendly staff and owners. The food is unique and fresh and always delicious. I have yet to go when I have not enjoyed it throughly. Patio service is such a treat when the weather is fine. Plus its in one of the ebst neighborhoods in the city with good window shopping.

“A nicely surprising South American Japanese Fusion Restaurant”
Reviewed January 4, 2012

There is no menu card at Mochi only one fix menu set (which can be tinkered depending on your taste). The restaurant itself is nicely decorated creating a nice atmosphere. The menu is a mix of South American and Japanese cuisine with some Dutch influence sometimes. It consists in a solid three course menu excluding dessert (about 37 Euros in November 2011). Each dish contains a set of different small dishes so at the end one gets to try about 11 or 12 small dishes. Every one is bound to find in there something you will fall in love with. One may also find something he hates, honestly I did not.
Fusion food can generally go right or very very wrong. Here I think they pull it off very nicely. All the food served was fresh, creative, inventive, surprising and very good. Service is good and one feels welcome.
