“Practical, well located and friendly.”
Reviewed January 12, 2014

Located in the heart of The Hague, this is a very nice, handy, no-nonsense hotel. Friendly staff, nice reception and lounge (with newspapers and wi-fi). Rooms functional and with all the essentials, including a water heater and coffee. My one critical comment would be that the bar closes early (was there at 23.30 hours and things had already been "locked up") and that the mini bar is empty (apparently too difficult and time-consuming to administer these..). If you are a regular guest, this is apparently no problem, as the little store across the road stocks all required items. If you are a late-arriving, thirsty, first-time visitor however, it means a glass of water from the tap (quite drinkable, incidentally!). Shall definitely return. Irrespective.

Room Tip: Facing the back is possibly quieter.

Dear Gerhard,

Thank you for your positive review and your kind words.

Sorry to hear that you wanted to drink something and the bar was closed.
When it is a quiet night the bar tender can decide to close the bar earlier.
Next time please let us know at the reception and we will make sure you will get your drink.

It is correct that our minibars are empty. You can use it as a fridge and put your own things in it.
If you would like to have a filled minibar, we can take care of that.

We look forward welcoming you next time!

Kind regards,

Management Parkhotel Den Haag

We stayed for 1 night- young couple age 30 + 1 dog.
We had an executive room, 413.
The lady at check-in said it was her favourite- I can only agree, spacious, clean & nice views of the park right next to the hotel.
Everything was great, we didn't mind signing an agreement for the dog to stay with us & the extra 10 Euros it cost didn't matter either as everything was perfect- room, service, breakfast!
Will definitely come back.

4 Star hotel located very central in Den Haag - all walking distance to shopping area as well as the more historical sight incl the royal place.

Hotel is has a older historical flair to it (like a school/church) but everything is renovated and well kept. Rooms are spacious. Superios room had a seperate walkin closet and full shower and bath top.

Breakfast no used, but can suggest to use some of the smaller coffees stores around the corner.

Room Tip: Superior Rooms are large and spacious.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Parkhotel in The Hague. It's one of those hotels that gives you a warm welcome and you feel that way throughout the entire stay. The rooms are spacious and decorated with an art deco flare and most have a view of a beautiful park. Breakfast is not included, but there selection is fantastic if you want to take part. There's also a lovely parlour where they serve coffee and tea all day and you can sit and have a chat with family, friends of business associates. The hotel itself is situated in the city centre close to all of the quaint shops and restaurants that make The Hague so special. I highly recommend this hotel and plan on staying there again when I visit in January! Because I visited in December, I cannot comment on the pool or garden facilities, but image they are quite lovely in summer time.

Room Tip: a room with a park view is exquisite.

The hotel is located in a small cobbled street, about 5 minutes walk to the town centre. The surrounding shops are independant and quite fun to browse around.
I have stayed at the hotel several times and very much enjoy its individuality and character. The single rooms are very small, so unless you are literally only going sleep there, its worth going for a double. I was travelling on my own, but still felt comfortable and safe in and around the hotel.
One problem was the truly rubbish wifi, but at least having free access to the business centre meant I could still get emails and check in on line for my return flight.
The bed was REALLY comfortable and the curtains certainly kept out the light. Room was very clean, shower good and breakfast lovely in the bright breakfast room.

Room Tip: Single rooms are very small, so advise booking a double unless you are only going to sleep there. Ro...

Dear Carry,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stays.
And we are happy that you are coming back every time.

Our single rooms are approximately 10m2, so the rooms are small indeed, but have everything you need.
Luckily you were able to use the business center. We are working on a new WIFI network, so hopefully it will be better next time.

Thanks again for your positive words and feedback and we look forward welcoming you next time!

After reading through suggestions on here I called and booked a room for a family of four. Plus three dogs. On arrival I was greeted by an excellent receptionist who offered to show me my room before I paid. I was asked to sign a pet agreement which was nothing I wouldn't do anyway. My room was 2 double beds with nice quality bedding. Laminate floor with an extra sofa bed. There was also an adjoining room if needed. The bathroom was large and modern with a large Bath with shower over. Reception answered calls swiftly and were very helpful. I really enjoyed my stay. The wifi worked very well. My only complaint was my room was next to the elevator and it was quite noisy in the mornings and I could here people passing in the hallway at night. But all in all I thought it was s very good hotel which was definitely worth its stars.
