I really enjoyed this gallery trip, the building is beautiful and the artwork is breathtaking. Vermeer and Rembrant were the highlights but there was so many other wonderful paintings. The restaurant is great and I would very much recommend audioguides which bring the paintings to life with background stories and information.

Beautifully restored building. Besides the painting of the girl with the pearl earring there are many more paintings to see. The museum is next to the Dutch house of parlement in the center of the hague. A lovely town close to the coast of the Netherlands.

The museum is located in a building from approx 1638 - the house is just beautiful and was a private home for a governor. It has been a musem for nearly 100 years. You will find paintings made by Vermeer, Rembrandt, Rubens, etc. It is really a visit worth. The modern elevator outside in the courtyard is very hip.

Visited the Mauritshuis to see The Girl with the Pearl Earring painting by Vemeer, but found many other paintings by other artists just as beautiful.
The Mauritshuis has an app which you can use on your phone as a narrative while you walk around the gallery. I had not come across this before.

There is also a lovely café on the first floor, with is well worth a visit.
