We visited the restaurant with friend from the USA. The waitress didn't speak English that great and misunderstood our entre. One of the main courses was not what we ordered and all though one of the waiters apologized our own waiter said nothing. The additional drinks too a very long time. We almost finished our meal before they finally arrived. The quality of the food was good but the bad service was annoying.

service was good considering the waiter looking after us had 13 people to deal with.
was recommended a lovely wine by the bar staff to go with lunch which actuallt turned out to be one of the cheapest on the list.
great seafood selection but fairly limited for vegetarians.

You can visit this iconic hotel after a pleasent walk from blaak station, crossing the Erasmus bridge.
You can have very nice views, snacks, coffee in the 2nd floor of the hotel.
Plus you can go back by taxi boat that will drop you of on front the hotel back to the point where downtown Blaak is.

I booked a room as present for my sister, for her birthday, the Hotel NY experience is great for anyone who has never bene there, the admosthere of the building is just manificient.

I live next door and visisted NY on many occasions in the past 20 years, I also use it for trainings.

The new owners largely improved the service and kitchen.

It has been 3 years ago I had breakfast and also this has really improved a lot, nice egg station, fresh juice maker, all is yammie, we had a great breakfast thank you!

They have an excellent choice of seafood prepared with expertise. They serve lunch and dinner and the staff is very attentive. If you sit outside, make sure to check out the inside of this beautiful (for Rotterdam rare) old building.
