The food are delicious, but the menu is not very informative, where the choices are limited. Interestingly, there is a so called mysterious set meal if you can't make decision. We have experienced lots of oriental food, so the dishes are not really exceptionally delicious. Maybe because of the price, we were expecting more than that. The waitresses are extremely friendly and the hospitality is great. The atmosphere was a fusion of west + east.

Read the reviews so decided to book a table for 6 on Saturday evening. We were introduced and welcomed by Jenny who is the hostess with the mostest! Really welcoming and she immediately recommended the house wine which was reasonably priced and tasted delicious. Highly recommended. We chose the surprise menu 4 courses which arrived at intervals that allowed us to digest each course in good time. The food was exactly what we would have chosen. The Peking duck was melt in your mouth delicious. Although the restaurant was full ŵe did not feel rushed at all and sat at our table for hours savouring each course. The beef is a must!! I would definitely recommend you visit if in Rotterdam as this is definitely not your typical Chinese restaurant.

After all the raving review of the Asian Glories, our expectations were predictably high. At first glance, everything looked great: a small but cosy room full of local Dutch people, a long reservations list, beige table cloth, and courteous welcome. We decided to give it a try and went for two 4-course surprise menus. I wonder why they insisted on serving them one course at a time - which started to arrive at irregular intervals - instead of doing a Chinese-style service but well... The dinner started with some clear duck broth which was ok but did not amount to much, followed by two small shreds of duck skin in peanut sauce; the shrimp dim sum were good but not exceptional; the continuation was however much disappointing - bland fried dough (it was said to contain scallops) that I could not finish; sweet-and-sour pork (again, good but nothing to write home about), and, the worst of them all, a plate of stir-fried chicken with bell pepper. The chicken was not filleted, it came as if the chef had taken random slices of the bird, skin and bones included. All in all, an uninspiring and frankly average Chinese dinner was priced at 45 euros per person (including a cheaper bottle of wine) which, to my sense, is a rip-off. Not to mention the generally inefficient, slow and chaotic service.

I was getting desperate in finding a real chinese restaurant in rotterdam as most of them are ''dutch style'' and not authentic. I was recommended Asian glories by a chinese friend and we were not disappointed. The place is always full so i would advise to book in advance. We had the duck menu and it was excellent. The starter is duck skin pancakes, they will bring the whole duck to your table and open it up in front of you. It was really fresh and crispy. Then you have the duck soup, followed by spicy duck in a lettuce leaf and duck with black bean sauce with garlic vegs. There was so much food we got a doggy bag! It is a bit pricey- 47 eur per pers - but the quality is excellent, the service is fast and friendly. We will definitely be back! Ideally located in the city center.
