“SPECIALITY FOODS FROM AROUND THE WORLD”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2013

A brief stop-over for a snack in Delfshaven gave rise to some serious ethnic shopping. For a small town, I was delighted to find items such as Portuguese Goiabada in a local shop and also at a reasonable price. There was a plethora of such stores here and the supermarket was also full of a great selection of items.

“Pleasant harbour with nice bars & cafes & shops”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

Delftshaven is easily accessible by tram & metro. It is a pleasant quiet harbour, a scenic pleasant oasis away from the concrete and glass of central Rotterdam. There are some excellent bars, cafes and art shops on the waterfront. My favourite watering hole is De Pelgrim brew pub. Its beer are excellent and the food is good.

“Great for icecream!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

It is only a small stretch of 17th century historic Rotterdam. Nicely contrasting the busy and multicultural neighbourhood lying next to it. Nice for eating a dish, having a beer or enjoying nice italian icecream.

“Historic area”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

The "old" part of Rotterdam. What I'm sure much of Rotterdam was like before WW2. Nice to see that the buildings, canals, and windmills have been preserved. You can either walk through the area, or just choose the right tram line from downtown to make a big circuit through the area (Tram 8 from the harbour area turns into Tram 4 back to downtown without getting off).
