“Excellent collection”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2013

This museum has a very nice collection of mostly Asion art. Best thing they won't charge you if you are only gonna look at their own collection. Just take the elevator to the second floor and watch the beautifull collection for as long as you like.

“Great collection of art of all around this planet”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 6, 2013

The museum is well appointed with art from all over the globe. The building is nice too, the rooms airy and large. Well worth spending an afternoon here. With extra exhibitions especially aimed at children.
The museum at the kay Willemskade can be reached from Metrostation Leuvehaven or by tram (stop: Westplein)

“Exquisite food and wines”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

Here you have very good value for money. Haute cuisine for reasonable prices. Every year they are nominated for a Michelin star but never had one as far i know.
We had a small lunch here. The staff was very professional. the food was exquisite. In between free spoons and amuses on the house. The wines were excellently chosen by the staff.
All dishes and wines are very well explained. Some ingredients i never heard of LOL. Here i had my best white wine ever.
We had over 4 different waiters/waitresses who all had there speciality. It’s worth the money. The menu of the day is only €50, includes 4 courses. The lunch of the day €30.

“Asian five star menu”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2013

One of the quiet pleasures when travelling to Rotterdam should be the Wereldmuseum. Some stone's throw away from Boijmans-van Beuningen and Kunsthal the permanent collection of Asian art is a wonderful selection of smaller and bigger pieces displayed in a phenomenal setting. The Wereldmuseum limits its main exhibition to China, Tibet, Japan, Indonesia and Polynesia and adds an occasional Samurai special dish to that. Great!

“Excellent museum with exceptional Samurai exhibit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Traveled to the Wereldmuseum on a Tuesday afternoon and it was very relaxing with almost more personnel than visitors.

Reason for visit was the Samurai exhibit they had on display which was phenomenal. Excellent display.

The permanent collection was also very beautiful, travelling through Tibet, China, Japan, Indonesia and Oceanic Islands through a three floor building.

Very clean and professional set-up and aimed more towards adults opposed to Amsterdam's Tropenmuseum.

Only downside was that I was unable to take photographs, usually you are allowed to take pictures without flash/tripod in the Netherlands but not here. Too bad because the first hall of the Samurai exhibit was phenomenal.
