“great museum for kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2012

Really nice museum, kids discover in many different ways. It's al about doing and discovering. You even can take some boardgames and sit and play with your kids, or they find some friends and play together.

“Great way to encourage children to experiment with art”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2011

My children (ages 6 and 9), mother and I visited Villa Zebra based on its description and review on TripAdvisor, and we are so happy to have visited. The staff was exceptionally friendly and enthusiastic! The top floor of the space has installations on a theme (this time it's architecture), along with various material stations where the children (and we) could experiment with trying out different building designs. We tried buildings with cd cases, animals with electrical wire, structures with folded paper still in books, and didn't have enough time to try the carpet squares and paper tubing. Downstairs is an art studio where the kids signed up to build their own houses with recycled materials. The adults were directed to the cafe while the children created their surprises. What a wonderful way to introduce children to art through experimentation and imagination, and every member of the staff worked to encourage their creativity and celebrated their success. We hope to go back soon!

“Creative environment for kids, relaxed atmosphere for parents!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

This children's museum of the visual arts is a hands-on-museum where children meet art in an exhibition, then make their own visual art work. Well developed pedagogical concept, in my opinion. On some days there is also a workshop in which the staff instructs and helps the children creating a piece. The activities are best suited for children from the age of six. Lovely staff!

The parent area is well supplied with newspapers and magazines and you can buy some simple food and drinks for a nice price. You can even play cardboard games which are painted on one of the colourful tables in the cafe area. So after a few hours both parents and children leave inspired and satisfied!
