“Relaxing way to enjoy beautiful views of Rotterdam - unless you want to rappel :-)”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 8, 2013

We enjoyed our visit to the Euromast. The panoramic views were breathtaking. The restaurant had good food, served by very nice people. (The dessert sampler is particularly enjoyable - and the appetizer combination even more so.) Hardier people than us were rappelling down the sides of the Euromast, guided by trained personnel. You can apparently choose between a slow descent and a rapid one. We chose instead to enjoy the views - and depart via elevator. The park next door is picturesque as well.

“Nice View of Rotterdam”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 7, 2013

it gives a magnificent view of Rotterdam 360degrees.
Had a nice dinner in the tower's restaurant.
Not many crowd and thus you have lots of space to take pictures and move around.

“Euromast - Neat idea, but a little light on content”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2013

Went to the Euromast Tower as part of a bus trip to Rotterdam, Delft, The Hague, and Madurodam. The idea of the Euromast is just like the Space Needle or any other of these attractions. Similar to the Empire State Building or the Arc de Triomph and many other "tall" sites, they do have a setup on the first deck where a small map/legend in shown in each direction and it details what you should see below on a clear day. They also have a telescope (that you pay for) to seek out those sites in clearer detail.

There was an elevator to get to the first deck/level, then to get higher you take a little enclosed sub-station with seats that turns you around very slowly for the full 360 during your way up to the top deck (which you can't go out onto), then it goes back down again. The whole trip is really quick.

On the day we were there it was pretty awful weather, and they were also wrapping up the Roparun from Paris to Rotterdam so through much of Rotterdam we were rerouted just to get there. The Euromast entry fee (don't know how much it is on its own) was included in our bus tour amount.

If you have been to the Space Needle or any of the other taller building attractions, this will be a letdown, particularly if it is cloudy and cold (as when we were there). If it would have been a nicer day and produced better photos, I probably would have liked it a lot more... The coolest thing I saw was in the elevator where the lights actually plot you along where you are in your ascent from the ground to Level 1.

Both the elevator and the other apparatus to the top move slowly enough that you should not be afraid to take kids (or those prone to motion sickness) up in the Euromast .

“Almost the smallest tower in the world!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 2, 2013

Great concept. Good fun for the whole family. The restaurant had fantastic views over the city and there is an option to rent a room with a panoramic view for the night. Its height won't impress you if you have been up any other towers though :)

“Abseiling from the Euromast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 30, 2013

I loved abseiling from the Euromast, which is almost a 100m drop. It's not for the faint of heart, but the patient staff walk you through it. It's also very reasonably priced at just under €50. Reservations recommended. You can read more about my review at: http://monkeysandmountains.com/abseiling-euromast-adventure.
