“Fascinating architecture”
Reviewed January 19, 2014

Definitely worth a look, some fascinating and unusual buildings, clever use of space, and in a pleasant part of the city, some of the apartments back on to the Oude Haven, with many waterfront bars and restaurants around it. Also adjacent to Rotterdam Blaak NS and tram stations.

“Worth a visit to see the inside”
Reviewed December 1, 2013

After walking around the outside and seeing the houses, I'm sure you'll want to take a look inside. It's a short visit as the cubes are small inside, but the visit it priced accordingly (only 2 Euro 50 cents). Interesting to see how the furniture fits inside and how it is cut and imaging how people live inside the cubes. Some of the decor inside might need an update as a "model" house, but I guess the interior fits in with when it was built.

“Rotterdam architecture wow”
Reviewed November 4, 2013

It's great that there is a display unit in this building because they're amazing to see from the outside. The inside is equally interesting, although very small, and I wouldn't want to live in one.

“Imaginative architecture”
Reviewed October 27, 2013

This unusual 1980's housing development was designed by Amsterdam architect Piet Blom. The houses are at angles and look unstable, so it was fascinating to visit one of the houses to see how the space is used and how the furniture fits. The houses are built around an inner courtyard which has several shops, giving it a community feel.

“Worth a visit”
Reviewed October 13, 2013

A very interesting place to visit while staying at Rotterdam. You have to see how different design affects the space inside the house and ponder on the furniture decisions.
