This is a great little walking area. Perfect for a light meal or just people watching. Many bistros, ethnic places (donner, asian, argentinian), and even a McDonald's. Several sites on the walk including the windmill museum, the windmill you can go in, and the old city gate.
Tip: The windmill museum is hard to miss -- it is a windmill raised up on top of some building. The parking lot there is handy. Park and go to the machine. Put a few euro in and press the green button for a ticket. Put the ticket on your dash. You don't have to pay for parking all the time so either pay for your stay or at least until the pay time is over.
We don't go to Noordwijk without at least one quick trip to Leiden.
