I like great foot--who doesn't? But I'm a bit old-fashioned in preferring what I would call a certain consistency across a dish, meaning that I'm less enamoured than many connoisseurs of a dish that is composed out of a dozen different taste elements and textures. This is not to say that this excellent food was put together in a "wrong" way; it's just that I personally prefer delicious simplicity to extreme sophistication, when it comes to food. Nonetheless, this was a great meal by any standards.
The maitre d' outshines the other staff a bit too clearly; a waiter spilled a bit of food on the back of the seat of someone sitting across from me (we were in a large business group) and I had to warn her not to press her leather jacket against it. He could also not remember who had what and made other small errors.
