Great with Groups!

I worked with the manager Sander Blok to book a group of 36 children and parents at the Hotel Leiden in April 2017. The hotel staff were extremely accommodating to this group. They were easy to work with on last minute date changes and requests of specific room types. They went out of their way to make sure that the guests had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel for individual and group stays.

Room tip: Connecting rooms are only available in the lower basement floors. You can request side by side rooms on the upper levels with views.

It's been 12 years since the last time!

This place has everything! The location puts it within reach of the best tourist locations. Rooms are large. The shower was a little small. Food, especially breakfast, was superb. The bar knows how to fix a Rusty Nail!!!.

Good hotel, a distance from the centrum

Good size clean room for a family. A bit of a distance from the main town, but we had a car so it didn't matter. From memory, you can hire bikes from Van der Valk hotels.(Had it in Alphen a/d/ Rijn). Bathroom good water pressure and size. Good bed size and firmness. Great buffet breakfast with hot and cold dishes, and pleasant view out onto the canal.WiFi worked OK. Would we stay there again? Yes.

Good hotel a bit out of town

We booked the hotel when we visited the Keukenhof gardens in April and it worked out very well.

The hotel is about 10 mins (€15) in a taxi from the Central station. We had a family room which was very spacious for the 3 of us, and had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent.

Breakfast started at 7am which worked perfectly as we got a taxi (€35) at 7.45 to Keukenhof and were able to enjoy the gardens before the tourist buses arrived.

There is a lake near by which is also worth a short walk to visit. The hotel also provide a free shuttle bus into Leiden station.

Perfect experience. More ligots in the bathroom needed. Good beds. Huge breakfast. A bit far from the center of Leiden.

More lights in the bathroom would be great.
Restaurant is average despite a good menu. The parking is free and avalaible. Very Clean hôtel. Cost is fair for the value. Reception des' is very helpfull.
