This place has everything! The location puts it within reach of the best tourist locations. Rooms are large. The shower was a little small. Food, especially breakfast, was superb. The bar knows how to fix a Rusty Nail!!!. More

Good size clean room for a family. A bit of a distance from the main town, but we had a car so it didn't matter. From memory, you can hire bikes from Van der Valk hotels.(Had it in Alphen a/d/ Rijn). Bathroom good water pressure and size. Good bed size and firmness. Great buffet breakfast with hot and cold dishes, and pleasant view out onto the canal.WiFi worked OK. Would we stay there again? Yes.

We booked the hotel when we visited the Keukenhof gardens in April and it worked out very well.
The hotel is about 10 mins (€15) in a taxi from the Central station. We had a family room which was very spacious for the 3 of us, and had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent.
Breakfast started at 7am which worked perfectly as we got a taxi (€35) at 7.45 to Keukenhof and were able to enjoy the gardens before the tourist buses arrived.
There is a lake near by which is also worth a short walk to visit. The hotel also provide a free shuttle bus into Leiden station.

More lights in the bathroom would be great.
Restaurant is average despite a good menu. The parking is free and avalaible. Very Clean hôtel. Cost is fair for the value. Reception des' is very helpfull.

The hotel itself is lovely. The room had a huge jacuzzi bath, a large shower, a comfy seating area and a small balcony. There was a coffee machine as well as a kettle.
Breakfast was good value - although what was available seemed to depend on the time of day. On the Sunday there was a man making fresh omelettes. We had to ask for this on Monday and it did not seem available on Tuesday. There was a good selection of fruit, yoghurt , pancakes, waffles, cold meat and cheese and hot food.
All staff were pleasant and helpful.
The hotel was further from the centre of Leiden than we had expected - it would be useful if the shuttle bus was to run in the evenings and on Sundays.
We had a very good meal in the brasserie.

Excellent stay, friendly staff, spacious bedrooms with sunny balcony, Good value 3 course meal. Just could have done with the shuttle bus running in the evening as too far to walk into town. Hired bikes to cycle to bulb fields
