A nice and cozy atmosphere with some modern touches, but mainly 'nice old school' furnishing, dark brown, really homy feeling right upon entrance. A 'Fust' is the Dutch word for 'barrel'and of course there is an old barrel placed near the bar of this restaurant. It is a higher level restaurant, but it doesn't have that formal vibe, it feels more casual, but you still get pampered!
We've been here on several occasions, just the two of us, but also with my hubby's grandfather which really was a treat for him! (and for us as well: the staff had all the patience in the world, while granddad doesn't hear that well anymore).
Service is great, wine choices are very good and the maitre loves telling you about the wines. We had some really brilliant desert wines here!
Don't hesitate to order the surprise menu, always right on the money! (but the a la carte menu changes regularly, so that's a good choice as well, if you don't like surprises). Let the waiter choose a wine with each course and your evening will be complete, enjoy!
