This hotel is within easy working distance from the Central Station and gives value for money. The breakfast is comprehensive and the food replenished regularly. The rooms are basic but contain all that is needed for a short stay and the bed was comfortable. The free Wifi is useful and works well in the room and the staff are most helpful and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again if I needed to stay in Leiden.
Stayed at the Ibis Leiden Centre friday 5th to Monday 8th April 2013 - Husband, myself and grandchild (aged 5). Hotel is ideally located for the Leiden Central Station (just opposite) and only 5 minutes walk to Ledien Centre. Hotel and facilites all very clean and room comfortable, although quite small and very little storage space. Staff very friendly and helpful. The only downside is the lack of facilities in the room. Apart from soap gel at sink and in shower, no other toileteries supplied. Big disappointment for me was lack of tea/coffee making facilties (Greatly missed, especially first thing in the morning!) Couldnt sleep one night and went to reception to pop out for a smoke and to ask for coffee but reception was unattended and all doors were locked so no way out! Following night, I went to reception at 00:30 and could get out for a smoke (phew!) but when asked if I could have a coffee was told the bar was closed! Overall not bad value (£85.67 per night for 2 adults and one child) but wouldnt book again due to lack of facilities. OK to book if on a business trip perhaps, but not if looking for a weekend break with pictureque views, and home comforts such as a kettle!
Modern-clean hotel--well situated opposite railway station and cycle hire for a short break.Five minutes walk into the town centre. Easy airport access. Buffet breakfast although good was expensive at 15 euros per person.
We stayed here for one night, and as a basecamp for sightseeing it as sufficient. The cost is next-to-nothing compared to the expensive hotels so no complaints about the lack of charm. Conveniently located (5 minutes walk from the Leiden Centraal Station).
The bedsheets did have a few dark spots so I won't rate the cleanliness highly.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the railway station and also the old city of Leiden. The stuff in the hotel lobby was friendly. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but otherwise not so special. There were no small towels so you had to use the late ones for your hands and face.
