“Very good but mind the stairs!”
Reviewed July 22, 2013

A very well presented building situated canalside, convenient for shops and restaurants etc. There is no parking here but a short walk away where there is a secure underground car park. We drew up outside to unload and the staff member was on hand to carry the bags up to the third floor. I was very grateful for this as I had not been prepared for the narrow, steep stairs and the absence of a lift. The room was spacious as was the adjoining bathroom and both were well appointed but we had asked for a room at the front and not too high up, and we got a room at the back on the top floor! Had we been staying longer we might perhaps have had better luck but it was fine for 1 night. An adequate breakfast was available and the staff member was helpful and pleasant. We would certainly consider staying here again but not on the top floor!

Room Tip: See above, your wishes may not be granted!

Excellent location, very kind owners, lovely breakfast, lovely white - blue interiors with a touch of Delft tradition, quiet room at night, good beds, large bathroom...I have tried different hotels in Delft in the past and I regret that I didn't choose this one before! I will go back to the Bridges House Hotel, that for sure!

Room Tip: Our room was nr. 11. Room was lovely and the bathroom spacious. The extra unexpected bonus was a pri...

We have just stayed at the Bridges House for 4 nights and it was perfect. We had room 12 on the first floor overlooking the canal. The room was compact but spotless and the bathroom a good size with an excellent shower. Only given 1 pillow each but asked for another and the staff had done this by time we got back from our travels. Free WiFi and use of a computer/internet on the first floor. The staff were wonderfully polite and helpful and breakfast was wonderful with an excellent choice. Perfectly located for the station and trams and a 5 minute walk into the very pretty square. A tram ride from Den Haag, we bought day tickets, and plenty to see and do. Downside: Very steep stairs so ask for 1st floor room if climbing is an issue. Will definitely visit again soon.

Room Tip: Ask for the first floor if you have mobility issues as the stairs are STEEP. Rooms overlooking the c...

Our first time in Delft and we could not have been made more welcome. The guy running the place was a delight, most friendly. Breakfast was good, I eat continental but An had fried etc good quality nice cuppa etc. The room overlooked the canal and was very spacious and clean. We felt comfortable there and that is what makes a great hotel. Everything is close by, nice Greek boat/bar outside is worth a drink or two on a sunny day with the moorhens. Also great bar on the other side of the canal, it doesn't seem to shut, good music. Will we be back? Damn sure. Delft beats Amsterdam and this is the place to stay. Food? check out Kloosters.

Room Tip: Get a canal view and watch the cyclists still going at four in the morning and check out the bar opp...

Stayed there over the weekend and it was a real gem very well positioned in Delft which is very close to both The Hague and Rotterdam, and an easy walk from the station and to the centre of town, with lots of great restaurants nearby. Everything was well done and English breakfasts even available on request, but overall it was a little pricey, although maybe that was standard for the area.

Room Tip: Front rooms overlook the canal, which is lovely.

we liked it overall, location close to everything, quite surroundings, nothing special about rooms, but charming breakfast area. On a negative side i could mention : no hangers for towels in the bathroom and watch out for a step into bathroom; very steep staircase might become an obstacle for elderly or with bigger luggage as there is no lift. Parking is some 500 metres away, but that is Delft old town, so not to complain about. Nice breakfast including omlettes or fried eggs of your choise. Overall the hotel itself is a perfect place for a stay in Delft right on the canal.

Room Tip: ask for a room with canal view

Booked not being really 100% sure of style and location and arrived on a Sunday evening after spending two nights in Haarlem. We couldn't have been happier as they has heeded my request for a room overlooking the street (and in fact, the canal) and we were really very close to the centre of the town, and market square with all of the main attractions nearby. Everything was great - nice welcome, room was immaculate - small but sufficient, the wifi worked and the toiletries and shower were par excellence. Only drawback was steep stairs and no lift which I imagine could be a problem for some people. Breakfast was also very nice (I had forgotten about fried eggs with bacon embedded) and the cost was good. Really, no complaints at all and will go back with friends asap
