“Great boutique hotel, albeit a little pricey”
Reviewed May 12, 2013

Stayed there over the weekend and it was a real gem very well positioned in Delft which is very close to both The Hague and Rotterdam, and an easy walk from the station and to the centre of town, with lots of great restaurants nearby. Everything was well done and English breakfasts even available on request, but overall it was a little pricey, although maybe that was standard for the area.

Room Tip: Front rooms overlook the canal, which is lovely.

we liked it overall, location close to everything, quite surroundings, nothing special about rooms, but charming breakfast area. On a negative side i could mention : no hangers for towels in the bathroom and watch out for a step into bathroom; very steep staircase might become an obstacle for elderly or with bigger luggage as there is no lift. Parking is some 500 metres away, but that is Delft old town, so not to complain about. Nice breakfast including omlettes or fried eggs of your choise. Overall the hotel itself is a perfect place for a stay in Delft right on the canal.

Room Tip: ask for a room with canal view

Booked not being really 100% sure of style and location and arrived on a Sunday evening after spending two nights in Haarlem. We couldn't have been happier as they has heeded my request for a room overlooking the street (and in fact, the canal) and we were really very close to the centre of the town, and market square with all of the main attractions nearby. Everything was great - nice welcome, room was immaculate - small but sufficient, the wifi worked and the toiletries and shower were par excellence. Only drawback was steep stairs and no lift which I imagine could be a problem for some people. Breakfast was also very nice (I had forgotten about fried eggs with bacon embedded) and the cost was good. Really, no complaints at all and will go back with friends asap

Like: a great location, a quiet place, but all Delft is a quiet place, big rooms, friendly staff, good price.
Dislike: rooms need some rennovation, car parking is distant, poor breakfast, difficult stairs and no lift, no safe in room.

This is a lovely and elegant small hotel right beside one of the lovely canals in the enchanting town of Delft in Holland. Very friendly staff. Wonderful ambiance. In the historic part of town and very close to the historic square. New owners have really upgraded the interior and the exterior is nice as well. Easy parking garage within walking distance. Excellent restaurant around the corner, run by the hotel owners. Delicious breakfast made to order plus / or large breakfast to choose from on your own right on the premises (same building as the rooms). Large rooms, comfortable beds, quiet location away from the busy touristy square. Lovely cafe on a barge right on the same canal, one block down, near the (Het) Prinsenhof museum. The parking garage entrance is near there too. Recommend this place highly !!

Room Tip: Ground floor room #1 is right next to kitchen, so loud after 6:30 am -- but ithat gets you up early...

A group of us spent a long week-end in Delft last week. We were looking for a traditional charming small guest hotel close to the city center. We were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted on arrival. The Hotel has recently taken on new owners and undergone some renovations. Our room on the 3rd floor was spacious and well fitted. There is no mini bar, but the beds are comfortable, and extra pillows were delivered on request. A variety of tv channels for the anglophones were a welcome surprise. The bathroom was huge with an extra long bath, perfect for relaxing in after a full day of sight-seeing. Breakfast was served from 08:00 - 11:00 (on week-ends) with a variety of breads, croissants, meats, cheeses, cereals and even a "dutch omelete" happily produced when requested, all in an open plan eating area. It's only a 5 minute walk to the market place, offering a huge variety of shops, bars and restaurants. Highly recommend.

The hotel was just what I was looking for.
The rooms are quite large and very clean. The staff is friendly and breakfast was a delight for a 3 star hotel. The walls are a bit thin so you might hear people coming up the stairs during the night.
But all in all a great place and close to the center. I would definitely stay there again on my next trip to Delft.

Room Tip: Hotel has no lifts, so it's better to ask for a room on the first floor
