You can't beat Delft for traditional Dutch architecture, atmosphere and appelgebak, and if that's what you like (I certainly do!) then Stads Koffyhuis is THE place to take your coffee break. The location is great, on a quiet stretch of the Oude Delft canal just a minute's walk from the centre, and on sunny days you can enjoy the vista of the leaning spire of Oude Jan from a pontoon on the water. But if it's cold or wet - rather more often in the Netherlands! - then settle into a comfortable chair in the cosy interior and enjoy a warming coffee or hot chocolate.
The entrance area is great for singles wanting to enjoy a coffee and croissant while reading the paper (Delft is a student town), while the upstairs room at the back is great for chatting with friends or a group outing. The food is typical of Dutch cafes: don't look for a wide selection of hot meals, this place is for coffee, cake, pancakes and snacks, and anyway it is closed in the evenings.
My only complaints are that they once kept me waiting for a high tea that had been booked because the previous group had not finished: they clearly couldn't handle two groups and should not have made the bookings so close together; and that they are closed on Sundays!
