I'm very pleased with Roos in Boskoop. It's in a nicely renovated characteristic industrial building from the 30s, with classy decor inside and lots of space and a most welcoming terrace outside. A preferred place for a lunch or dinner on the terrace overlooking the rose garden, in winter it's a perfect stop for a coffee. The place is popular with all generations: you can see youth longing on the terrace on a summer night and a more mature clientele having their high tea in the afternoon. The restaurant's interior is spacious and beautifully finished with dark wood - modern, elegant, with attention to detail yet escaping the minimalist trend, goes very well with the building's architecture. The train station is just outside and the view of the light trains just gives an extra touch.
Service is great: very kind, unimposing yet present, relaxed without being arrogant - and food served with a special touch.
The owners or staff are happy to show guests around their place, as there is also a performance space and private dining or meeting rooms in the same building.
