De eetkamer is situated in the old centre of Middelburg, Park your car outside the historic centre and take a walk to the restaurant. This is already rewarding in itself. My wife and I went there on an evening in may. We did not make reservations but there was place and the welcome was cordial. Since it was evening we did not want to eat too much so we' both ordered their specialty 'beef Wellington'. We had a bottle of white wine while waiting (it takes about 35 minutes to cook). With the wine came some interesting amuse bouches. After half an hour came the Beef Wellington: we both can heartily recommend this: it is a very exceptionally tenderly cooked piece of beef in a nice crust of puff pastry. The tought of it while writing the article makes the water come in my mouth. Heartily recommended.
