Pomodori is well-known in this little, but upper class neighbourhood of Baarn, as THE lunch bar serving delicious Italian(-ish) sandwiches and rolls. These days, Pomodori provides dinner services as well in their stylish restaurant liven up by all sorts of Italian paraphernalia.
The entrée (salad) was fresh, but lacking any direction and apart from the inevitable Mozzarella, there was nothing which I could recall from my various stays in Italy. The main dish of vegetarian pasta contained seemingly good ingredients, but it was a bit watery too. Not a drama (or dramma), but no danza di gioia either.
The service of mainly young, fairly inexperienced staff is friendly overall. The prices are reasonable when you order the menu (25 Euro for 3 courses).
In a word: promising.
