This restaurant at the banks of the river Eem - the only river that springs in the Netherlands - is a haven for wining and dining. It is located in a recent extension to the centre of Amersfoort - a lovely small, ancient city in the center of the Netherlands.
Our 6-course surprise menu was again a revelation. Unbelievable how this cook can paint with ingredients, shaping dishes as a symphony of colours, tastes, mouth feel and aftertaste. And then the incredible wines that accompany the dishes. Original, tasteful and from all over the world. It all harmonises so well together.
The surprising dishes were served well paced - plan for three hours of culinary joy. The service is of a high standard - correct yet not too formal. These people clearly love their trade.
You might want to consider ordering a "Bob-arrangement", i.e. all the wines, but only half the volume.
