As part of an organised Rugby Tour our team and our family stayed over the recent Easter weekend.
The accommodation was vastly better than we could possiblyof expected. It was immaculately clean and superbly furnished.

On site restaurants, the take away outlet and bars were good value for money . The village is adjacent to a marina and has a lot of charm. The whole complex is designed to fit with the locality in terms of architecture and blends very well.
Only a 5 minute walk to the centre of town and well located.

Absolutely loved the place and hope to go back soon. Very well located for trips into Amsterdam although sadly we never got time to do this.
Also thought the staff in reception, the supermarket and bars were lovely and very polite.

Did'nt want to come home so soon. Would imagine in the peak of the summer season a resort like this would be hugely popular and extremely busy.

Excellent stay .Would easily reccommend

Room Tip: Book close to the marina as possible. Really lovely views .We stayed at 14a and had a view from the patio windows overlooking the boats

Stayed for 4 days with 2 children and 5 adults. Had a flat over 2 floors with 3 bedrooms. Excellent, spacious facilities. Good service. Resort is clean, well kept with lots to do for both adults and children (there are kids areas but it never feels like a nursery). The location is perfect: easy reach of Amsterdam and next to beautiful Vollendam and Edam. Highly recommended.

paid a good price for a hotel room in the complex. good size room with comfy bed. excellent staff ,nice pool good on site restaurant ,and handy on site supermarket. hired cycles to explore ,good value at 10 euros per 24 hr period .easy to get around bus stops outside, amsterdam only 30 min away.centre of town only 5min walk with superb restaurants and great bars. as usual the dutch are amazingly friendly and speak faultless English . best to pre book tables as can get very busy. we loved the restaurant hogen ,good portions and ex view. had ex afternoon sailing on a private yacht.moored next to markam ferry. got phone number on it and owner will arrange time. had go at steering and will sail where you want. only 15euro each and couple of beers and cheese for 3 hrs.only slight downside no air con or fans. rooms can get on warm side

Our family of 5 spent a week at this park in the summer of 2013. The park itself was kept beautifully clean as were the houses. We rented a house which slept 7 and found it to be very spacious with a very nice outside seating area overlooking water. The park was nice to walk around with marina, take away, restaurant and indoor swimming pool. We used the pool several times and it was always fairly quiet and again very clean.

The park could have done with a little more in the way of food outlets but the shop was reasonably well stocked and there is a supermarket in Volendam just 5 minutes walk away.

Volendam is beautiful and perfect to wander around with children. We loved the quirky gift shops, the cheese factory and the pretty houses. We walked to Edam one day which took around an hour with little ones but was worth it - a pretty walk, though busy with bicycles. The trip to Amsterdam on the bus was easy and only took 20 minutes. The Nemo Science Center and Van Gogh Museum were excellent.

The staff at the park could not have been more helpful and we were amazed at their fluency in so many different languages.

I just would have hoped for more outdoor play equipment for the children as we only found a small park with a slide.

The weekend was noisier than the week with a few hen/stag groups.

We would definitely go back to this park again.

Room Tip: Ask for accommodation overlooking water - much more tranquil. We had an end of terrace house and it was definitely quieter than mid-terrace ones would have been.

I was told this area was VERY busy during the summer months...and although the place had no vacancies...it was not that busy. Having said that, the pool was packed and only stayed open til 5p each day....so there was no 'adult' hours for relaxation, etc. I was also a bit disturbed that there was no electric outlet NEAR any mirror. Ladies, try doing your hair from memory!! ARGH! You also must rent hair dryers...they do not offer them as part of the room. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The room was spacious as well. Internet connection was easy.... Bicycle rentals were fairly inexpensive at $10 Euro pp. We rode to Edam one day...very nice.
If you are not into drinking, there isn't much to do after 5p, except eat dinner. Shops close, pool is closed, grocery is closed, ferry to merken is closed...ONLY pubs are open and a few restaurants.
Something for the 'fountain soda fans'... ICE is hard to find. They do not offer ice in the hotel and even when you ask in restaurants, they often don't understand. So, expect bottled 'ice tea' and bottled' ice water' and bottled 'coca cola', etc. I didn't order any mixed drinks, so I'm not sure how that works.

Room Tip: Try for Marina side....AND non-smoking if you don't smoke!
