Owner description: Keukenhof? That’s the place to see spring blossom. The park is unique, world famous, and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for sixty years now. Haven’t seen Keukenhof? Then you haven’t seen the Netherlands. You won’t find such an abundance of colours and fragrances anywhere else. More than seven million flowers form a glorious decor for the most beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, the wonderful works of art, the surprising insipration gardens and the many flower shows.

“A Dream Garden”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

My husband and I visited the Keukenhof twice in April. The first time was April 12 and the second was a week later on the day of the flower parade. I have visited many gardens in the world, but never one as spectacular as this one. Winter stayed later than usual this year so there were few tulips in bloom in the garden, but there were wonderful displays of daffodils, crocus, hyacinths and many other early spring bulbs in the meticulously manicured garden. However, the pavilions which are huge open buildings like greenhouses but far more beautiful, were filled with outstanding displays of tulips and all plants that are grown from bulbs plus another building full of orchid displays.
By the second visit, the area had warmed up and there were many tulips in bloom outdoors along with the ones in the pavilions. It was the day of the Flower Parade so the place was packed but there was public transportation available from the Central Station and the crowds were very well managed.
For a delightful experience you don't have to go to the Keukenhof at the height of tulip bloom. there are wonderful flowers the entire spring there.
I recommend it for people of all ages. There is even a cute little farm with live baby animals for the children.

“Very Beautiful Colours”
Reviewed June 17, 2013

I arrived there in may 2013 with friends and the place is amazing. The views of fields filled with colourful tulips were fascinating and refreshing. Ive never seen so many colourful flowers together before. The attraction is i reckon for both adults and childrens as there is something for every age.

“Late but just on time”
Reviewed June 16, 2013

We went there on 5th May 2013, it's a little bit late according to the schedule (it's going to be closed within two weeks). It's not indeed due to cold spring in Europe this year, we are just on time.
Surprisingly magnificent! Deserve its name of Garden of Europe!

“Too Early but still worth the trip”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

I arrived to the tulip fields when they were about 3 weeks behind schedule, and so there wasn't as much color in the fields as normal. Even with this disappointment the gardens were amazing and the color was vibrant. There were so many wonderful picture opportunities, and riding the bikes through the fields was like being in a different world, so peaceful and calm. I definitely want to return during a year when everything is in full bloom.

The Garden of Europe opens only between mid-march to mid-may. The best time to go is in April because you will get to view the sea of multicolor tulips in front of the windmill. This is a must-visit attraction if you go to the Netherlands during the stated period. Not only is this place the home to wide variety of tulips and hybrids planted all over the garden, you will get to see many other flowers as well in the different pavilions named after Dutch Kings and Queens. There is a snack shop selling awesome dutch waffles with caramel near the windmill.
