Owner description: Keukenhof? That’s the place to see spring blossom. The park is unique, world famous, and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for sixty years now. Haven’t seen Keukenhof? Then you haven’t seen the Netherlands. You won’t find such an abundance of colours and fragrances anywhere else. More than seven million flowers form a glorious decor for the most beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, the wonderful works of art, the surprising insipration gardens and the many flower shows.

“Colour- A Flower Lovers Paradise!!”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

If you are a lover of flowers and gardens, this is a must for you to see!!! Over 7million tulip bulbs as well as other bulbs mixed in beds that go on and on and on!!! Visiting on a very cloudy and day full of drizzle we still enjoyed this once in a lifetime view of a sight not to be missed. Open only two months per year April and May, the colours of the tulips are so brilliant you will need sun glasses on a cloudy day!!! Kidding of course, but I have never seen such vivid tulips and other bulb flowers all in this extensive gardens. There are numerous pavillions to stop at throughout the gardens that highlight specific flowers such as lillies and orchids, and many more, with gift shops and food stops along the way. You can even buy various bulb packages and have them sent to your home at the correct planting times which they will advise you on.
This is a truely wonderful stop and a main reason to go to Holland, visit Amsterdam and take a bus tour from the city out to the gardens.

“Amazingly designed gardens”
Reviewed May 23, 2013

I was expecting it to be fields but when l saw what it was l thought this is better. You just wonder around in your own time and go any direction you decide on. There are signs to help you to know where you want to go. You have all sorts of flowers. Even a pavilion with floral arrangments
Shops and cafes.

“...and I think to myself, what a wonderful world”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

I was lucky to visit this place on a sunny day (it was cold, dreary and rainy that week in Amsterdam). Words cannot describe how beautiful this place is. This place is like seeing all the colours of the rainbow up close and being this close to be able to touch them. I was in awe of this place, rendered speechless by its beauty.

“Tulip Paradise”
Reviewed May 22, 2013

I saw the gardens in the end of April, so this year's long winter worked in my favor. The outdoor areas were mostly still in bloom or just starting, but the indoor blooms were all breathtaking. I am not an outdoor person, nor someone with a green thumb (quite the opposite) but I thoroughly enjoyed the park. Even with an old digital point-n-shoot camera, came away some really nice pix.
The park also has great areas for kids with a petting zoo, picnic areas, and a windmill you can go inside. You can definitely spend an entire day in there without being bored.
Transport from Amsterdam is very easy. I stayed near Centraal Station, so opted for the Combi-Ticket from Schiphol (one easy train ride away). You can even get the combi-ticket at the TI across from the train station (bought mine the day before), if you did not order it online.
