Owner description: Keukenhof? That’s the place to see spring blossom. The park is unique, world famous, and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands for sixty years now. Haven’t seen Keukenhof? Then you haven’t seen the Netherlands. You won’t find such an abundance of colours and fragrances anywhere else. More than seven million flowers form a glorious decor for the most beautiful photos. Come to Keukenhof and enjoy the ultimate spring feeling, the wonderful works of art, the surprising insipration gardens and the many flower shows.

It was a dream and it came true! Visited twice on April 18th and April 20! A few logistical observations:
1) the combiticket is worth it, we took a bus 858 from Schiphol airport (arrival area 3/4) and in some 25 minutes you arrive to Lisse enjoying along your way the tulip fields in yellow and purple or rose colours
2) as we went there twice, for the second entrance we used the Holland Pass (the tulip ticket for garden entrance, and exchanged in GWK travelex office the windmill ticket for a roundtrip bus connection ticket, you could use 858 bus and even the 197 bus line back to Amsterdam. It is also easy taking a train to Schiphol and back, but we were a bit unlucky as on the weekend they had some engineering works so you take a train+a bus. But it was not a big problem!
3) you can also pick up a very nice souveneers in the shops inside the Park
4) plan to visit on weekday as over the weekends it could be too crowded. On the day of the Flower Parade it was very crowded and as the road is blocked, you can travel back to Schiphol only once the parade is finished. Tip: go to enjoy the garden while the Parade, you won't miss too much if you do not see the parade, you could then enjoy the Garden a bit less crowded.
Would be dreaming to come back next year!
Enjoy the spring!

My sister and I came to Holland to see the bulbfields but because of the weather they were all covered in acres of fleece so we went to Keukenhof Park. Here we expected beds of tulips and other spring flowers but we were disappointed because yet again the weather has prevented the flowers doing their thing. The park staff had done their best by putting out crates of tulips brought on in the hothouses and these sufficed to cheer up the walkways etc. Some crocuses were doing their best to cheer up the lingering wintry day and a lone bald headed coot was busy making his/her nest on the lake near the fountain. The hothouses full of every shape, colour & size of tulip amaryllis, begonia, daffodil were a joy to behold and we enjoyed this riot of colour.

We visited on the 24th of April on a beautiful sunny day. The daffodils, hyacinth, blossom, and some tulips were out. Even though many tulips were still not out due to the late spring, the scent of hyacinth as you enter the park was incredible. The indoor displays were also lovely. It was a shame the british display of tower bridge has not yet bloomed, but a thoroughly enjoyable day none the less. The toilets were clean and lunch was reasonably priced. The park is quite large and could benefit from some better signage to help people like myself with little sense of direction!
Would definitely recommend is park. We travelled from England and still felt it was a worth while trip, and would love to come again to see the garden and tulip fields in full bloom.

We finally made it to the Keukenhof Gardens! As genuine garden lovers we have visited many beautiful gardens in England, Ireland, Italy and France, but we too often fail to visit the exceptional ones that are close to our home.

Keukenhof surely is an exceptional garden. It's a genuine spring garden, only open from Mar 21 to May 20. The garden is world famous for its tulips, but the long winter of 2012/13 made that most of the tulips were still closed (Apr 21!). They did however everything they could to show some tulips: we saw some splendid tulip shows in the glass houses for instance.

Anyhow, the wheather was excellent. Thousands of hyacinths and daffodils were welcoming you in the park. The orchids exposition in the glass house was just wonderful. The park is a georgeous place for a nice walk and invites you for taking hundreds of nice pictures with your camera.

We'll be back for the tulips next year!
