“Obvious choice”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 11, 2013

In the Netherlands, of course you go out for Asian food. Staying with a local friend we gave her the choice and this is where we ended up. A wide selection of food from a variety of Asian destinations. We had a number of dishes between us all. It was all presented really well and we couldn't fault any of the dishes. Good produce, cooked well, good job. Service was attentive and friendly, offering advice if wanted. Priced reasonably well too. Two thumbs up.

“Great wines, dissapointing food.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

We selected this restaurant for valentines day. Reserved a table, which seemed to nescesary. The waiters were very rushedand didn't have time to give attention. It took almost 1 hour before we could order a set menu. The surprise menu started with salmon and a sweet ice- cream, a terrible combination in our opinion. Main course was a well prepared piece of beef with a mash of sweet potato, but then also noodles. Wines were excellent, service hong kong style, a bit rushed and not personal.
Will not return in the near future.

“That's excellent service and surprising food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 24, 2012

If you want to experience the good old feeling of excellent service , feel welcome and good food. Madame Cheung is the place to be in Hoorn. Located near the beautiful city centre with plenty of parking spaces around , walking distance from train station. The owner is known for his hospitality and the food has never dissapointed us. A safe pick

Its also a hotel.

“Classy Asian Fusion, Excellent Service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 20, 2012

Madame Cheung is a surprising find in the very traditional West Frisian town of Hoorn. It's cuisine is a modern interpretation on traditional Asian cuisine, and is best enjoyed through one of their "surprise menus" that the chef puts together every day - of course taking into account the diner's personal preferences. Their manager is also an excellent sommelier who can provide excellent wine choices with each course. It's always a lovely and high-class experience to dine there, and the service is excellent, though sometimes the pace is a bit slower... common in Holland.

“Worth visiting”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2011

This is not your standard Chinese restaurant, I visited this restaurant as a party of 8 and we all had a set menu of 6 dishes each with a different wine. The quality, service and presentation was excellent. This is Asian food served in a top class European restaurant style, I could have eaten there every night.
