My wife and I joined another couple who were staying at B&B Mya in Haarlem for dinner on a very cold night, April 10. As we were walking to the restaurant we thought we would be eating at, we passed a crowded pizza house named De Pizzabakker. It was almost full. We looked in saw an empty table, and agreed that pizza and good wine would really taste better on this very cold night instead of the other restaurant. We entered, got a table and had a very lovely young lady wait on us. She answered all our questions: Is your pizza thin, crisp and tasty. Yes, was her answer. And our wines are very good--at a low price, she added. We ordered. Wine: Very good. Margarita pizza: excellent. Service: Excellent. It was the perfect food for this cold night in Haarlem. We all agreed that we would go back to the De Pizzabakker again. Try it. It probably is as good, or better, than most pizza parlors in your home town.
