It is sincerely a good basque style restaurant. The salmon amd egg montafotos are great as is the Txakoli wine. Finishing with a Spamish nrandy. Prices are fair.

“Great Spanish food”
Reviewed November 14, 2013

Best place to eat Spanish food in Haarlem. I went many times and I recommend fish soup, calamares, patatas bravas and chocolate cake. Service is fast and staff is very nice. They take care of quality.

“Nice evening, good food”
Reviewed October 20, 2013

visit: 15-10-2013
Number of people: 2

The great thing about a concept like this, is that you can make it as expensive as you want yourself.

The calamari fritas and the 'scheermesjes' were really nice. The only thing I found bothering me, is that the signs next to the food at the bar didn't correspond with the food. And in stead of having something with ansjovis on it, i ended up with something vegetarian. Also very nice, but this is something that needs to be addressed.

There was some miss-understanding with the service if we ordered the calamari or not. The girl was there on her second day and her enthusiasm made more than up for it. We've all been there, good luck to you.

I also liked their white wine. I forgot the name in the meantime, I know it was 6 euro's a glass (not their standard house wine) but it was very nice. A spanish white wine.

Recommend it to anyone.

“Great for Late Night Tapas”
Reviewed September 4, 2013

If you've been to Haarlem, then you know that most restaurants close by 10 in the evening. They are no exception, though they still provide tapas for those like myself who eat later in the night.
As you walk in you will see the selection of tapas, usually 8 or so choices. something for everyone. Just grab a plate and start eating, there is no waiting. They were tasty and satisfying, most were on a good crusty bread, some were in lettuce leafs. All ingredients were of great quality and fresh. The great thing about tapas is that you have room for desert, and man, am I glad I did. The first night they were out of the chocolate cake so i choose the hazelnut tart, I have to say that I am not a hazelnut fan but this choice has changed my opinion entirely. Unlike the stuff we get in the states this was roasted nutty goodness. The second visit the chocolate torte was back on the menu, and it was right up there with the best.
