“It was ok for a night but beware of the toilet”
Reviewed May 10, 2012

We needed a short night stay, I had always wanted to check this BB out since I read so many good reviews on Tripadvisor.

Having stayed at another BB nearby a week before this one, I was eager to see how much better Mya would be.

I cannot commend on the hospitality of the host since we did not do much communication, but i am sure they are friendly bunch.

We stayed at the front room, everything is good except that the windows open up to the road (no privacy) and the toilet was in a semi open corner in the room. We are a couple but we don't enjoy listening/smelling to each other doing the "business". Luckily there is a separate toilet out of the room in the kitchen area where we could use when need to.

This would probably be the only major down side of the place, but I value my bathroom set up and therefore an "average" for the place. Price is great though if you don't mind the open toilet.

This winter we used again to do some improvements to the room. Both rooms now have an enclosed bathroom en-suite for your privacy.

Only one night on business, but wish it were more. The b&b is on a quiet side street near to the town centre and a short walk from the station. Nice size, about 5 x 7m, comfortable bed and spotlessly clean. Had to leave early so didn't have time for breakfast but the orange juice was freshly pressed from real oranges so I must have missed a treat.

Room Tip: Bed was nice and soft which might not suit people with a back problem so you might want to talk to t...

We feel so lucky to have found this lovely little B&B. Everything was so clean and comfortable. The hosts are helpful and warm. Roda went out of her way to help me in a troubled time and I will never forget her. I strongly recommend staying here instead of the far more expensive Amsterdam, a mere 15 minutes away. Don't forget to go to the Corrie ten Doom house!

My husband and I stayed at B&B Mya for six nights while in Holland on vacation. The room is so beautiful, and the beds are the best I've slept in ever on a vacation. We slept like babies every night.

The breakfast was very good, with fresh warm bread every morning. We also had interesting breakfast company from the guests in the other room, it was nice exchanging experiences.

Roda and Albert were very nice and friendly, and helped with parking tips, where to walk etc. We took the train to A-dam twice, it took just 15 minutes. One day we went to den Haag via train, also very convenient. We walked in the National Park to the sea, a beautiful experience.

And of course, don't forget all the fantastic restaurants in Haarlem every night! Not to be missed is La Forca and Specktakel.

Room Tip: Read all the reviews, but don't forget to see where the reviewers are from, and if they are coup...

Talked to Albert on the phone and booked the rooms last minute, it was the same price as hotels in the area, so it is more than competitive. Everything went smoothly. I was told the location was excellent as was the breakfast. The Wifi was free and easy to access. My boss said: it was the nicest place he stayed the entire trip (the rest in bleak business hotels) and thanked me profusely for finding this place!

Rhoda and Albert were gracious and eager to please hosts. Our rooms were spacious and spotless. Breakfast was excellent, with fresh warm bread and freshly squeezed OJ every morning with the usual meat, cheese and eggs made to order. Yes, 5 minute walk to train station and to the town square. The semi-exposed bathroom was not a problem with us. Thank you Albert and Rhoda!!
