We happened upon Lieve by chance, during our first visit to Amsterdam.
We were lucky to get a table, it was very popular. Our waitress was very helpful, explaining the different menu options. We went with the 'Belgian Baroque' option, which was a selection of dishes for each course. We also went for the beer menu to compliment our meal.
The service was excellent, as was the food. The real star for us, however was the different beer selections - they complimented the different dishes perfectly! All in all an excellent meal. Our only criticism was that all the dishes for each course (and the beer selection) were brought at once, so were in danger of getting cold (or warm).
Fairly expensive, so maybe one to save for a special occasion, but we thought it was definitely worth it, a nod thoroughly enjoyed!
