This charming restaurant exceeded all expectations and was a complete delight for our table of six foodies from Portland, Oregon. The friendly service, reasonable wine selection and extensive tapas style menu was an absolute 10. Everything on the menu looked and sounded fabulous and the plate sizes allowed us to try almost everything. The menu featured Japanese-Spanish-Dutch fusion notes with local and fresh ingredients. Not only interesting but wonderfully executed without being over-complicated. The menu was offered in English which was helpful and the small, locals filled space had a welcoming ambience and vibe. We sampled the perfectly cooked white asparagus with delicious lemon Hollandaise, the thinly sliced and very tender cayenne seasoned octopus, the light soy and black sesame very fresh salmon sashimi with seaweed salad, unique and delicious whitefish bitterballen, very fresh briny oysters served with lemon, freshly baked bread, and the freshest burrata with beetroot that I’ve ever had. Every dish was prepared exquisitely, was well balanced, plated, seasoned and sized. I woke up still thinking about the lovely meal and look forward to returning! Best of all, our check including 2 bottles of wine, several beers, dessert and enough main dishes to leave us all full, totaled only $175 Euros. Solid five stars all around!
