This restaurant is popular with locals (always a good sign); we hadn't booked but they found us a table an hour later. It's on a quiet part of Herengracht away from the rather more raucous areas. The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff were very cheery and helpful. The food is excellent with good ingredients and beautifully cooked and presented - I had a guinea fowl starter and haddock as a main course and these were moist and well seasoned. My other half had the asparagus which she said was lovely. There's a nice take on accompanying vegetables too. Finished off with a lemon tart with ice cream which was delicious. The whole came to 99 Euros which was good value. Wine by the glass is expensive though- a bottle is better value which I avoided only because there's a canal next door. Would definitely go again and certainly recommend it.
