We share the other Trip Advisor writers' praise for this small, lovely restaurant. We stayed in the Museum District and Baerle was an easy walk. We chose the Menu and enjoyed good food, good service, and a thoroughly nice experience. The staff was very competent and we enjoyed our relaxed dinner knowing we were in good hands, a feeling not always available to tired tourists.

This is the restaurant that I have visited most times in Amsterdam both private and with business. Have been there 2 times with colleagues the last 2 weeks and no one has been disappointed. The menu is always relevant with excellent salad, fish and meat options. The service is above average with friendly and correct coworkers. Last time I was there I had the "formula entrecôte" together with a salad. It was great. Normally I do not take house wine but at this parlor it origins from their own vineyard in France and it goes very well with most meat dishes on the menu. I will be back again...especially when the weather gets warmer and they open the terrace in the back.

Baerle is a small intimate restaurant, high quality food and a nice wine list. The service was very good and the atmosphere was excellent. A really nice place to eat in the Museum Quarter of Amsterdam without having to travel in to the centre

Very cosy interior, not too many tables in an informal but elegant environment: the food has always been good, and still is. Excellent service in a city not always known for friendly staff! Recommended. Menus (29 euros for 2 courses, 36 for 3) good value too, and wine available by the glass.

This was a surprise recommendation from the College Hotel over the road. We had no great expectations but the food, atmosphere and service were excellent. We ate as well as we have done anywhere in a city suburb. Worth a trip, even if you are not staying locally - it is just by a tram stop.
