I would like to share here a pleasant experience while in Amsterdam. I went to dine to this restaurant four times during the course of seven days. Each time I had a very good experience. The staff is highly professional, welcoming. The Chef knows his business and prepares dishes with a flair. Their wine list is well adapted to the food they prepare and their private label Bordeaux (Cote des dames?) is very enjoyable. The most impressive aspect of this restaurant is that I informed the waiter that I need to follow some dietary restrictions - my food has to be gluten free. Was this a problem? Not at all. The chef prepared everything accordingly. He knew what this means. And they remembered the next evening! The atmosphere of this restaurant is pleasant, on the elegant side. The location is very close to the Concertgebouw. I highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are recommended.

Slightly pretentious, but all the more fun for this. The food and wine were very good indeed. We would certainly go there again

Food was good, though. So depends on what you want to spend. Other places available on the same street. I would go back.

BvB, close to the Concertgebouw, is a longtime favourite. Indoor is OK, but during Summer it is great to eat in the backside and peaceful garden. They have interesting 3 course menu's (for 38 E) and a la carte and a few favs like 2 servings of entrecote; shrimp croquets etc. They have wine suggestions for every dish. The service is professional and friendly.

We stumbled across this delightful restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat on our last night in Amsterdam. Although it looked small and busy we decided to try our luck without a reservation. We were immediately warmly welcomed and ushered to a delightful table near the window. We chose the set menu and a bottle of wine from the extensive wine list. The meal was divine and the service was impeccable. We didn't feeled rushed at all but were discreetly attended to. If you want a delightful romantic meal, away from the hustle and bustle of the central area of the city, then look no further. This was a perfect end to our city break!
