“a real hidden gem, good food and excellent value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 6, 2010

this was a superb find on our recent trip to the dam (thanks tripadvisor), some other reviewers have unfairy stated that this is not the best restaurant in amsterdam, however it probably is the best food if you dont want to spend over 300 euros on a meal! Lets start with the basics, this is a tiny place, 10 minutes from dam square, if you didn't know it was there you would walk straight past (as we did!) we arrived nice and early for dinner, we were the second couple to be seated at around 6pm, within 20minutes the restaurant was full. Like the majority of people we opted for the 3 course set meal for 27 euros, which for the quality of the food is exceptional value. I started with the fire shrimp with basil mash, the mrs had the soup, both were excellent and the presentation was first class. This theme continued with the mains and deserts, if you like food you simply must try this place. The service was good, nice and personal without being too overfamiliar. All in all a great meal in a lovely little restaurant and all for a bargain price!

“A tasteful meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 2, 2010

We tried the restaurant because of the reviews on this site. And it was a very tasteful and good meal we got. We ordered a 3-course meal with a bottle of white wine of the house. A little expensive that wine, but...... The staff was very friendly. The only criticism I have was the noise from 2 guys at a nearby table, but that was of course not the restaurant`s fault... If I travel to Amsterdam again, I will go to the Seasons!

“Really lovely meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 27, 2010

We had the 3 course set dinner menu for 26 euros each. The food was delicious , starters of new season white asparagus parma ham and poached eggs, mains of roast lamb and couscous, and warm crepes filled with apple and pear for desert. The ambience was very good and the staff extremely friendly.
This meal was a definite highlight of the trip, would love to go again.

“The Best Restaurant in Amsterdam by far”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2010

Every time we go to Amsterdam, we go to Seasons. And each time we are not disappointed by the food, service and the super friendly Chef Blaine and Peter. The food is not your average cuisine. It is steps above anything you might get elsewhere. As world travelers, we've tried many places, and each time at Seasons and only at Seasons, we have been treated to culinary masterpieces. From plating to taste, we have found no matches. Show up early, the Restaurant will fill up, and prepare to have an experience worthy of Amsterdam, Paris, New York, Italy, Germany, or any place else.

“Decent, but nothing special (at lunch)”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 17, 2010

Seeing that it was number one on TA and close to my hotel, a group and I went over for lunch on a Saturday. I had a salmon omelette, and the table had such items as split pea soup, pasta, a panini, and bread pudding. As the title says, I give the whole place nothing more than an "ehh." Like everywhere in the 'dam, took a LONG time to get the food, and though our server was very nice, the experience wasn't something I'd hurry back for. I'm hoping we can do better this trip.
