Been at Sea Palace on prevoius visits. Staff very friendly.
Our impression was that they were streched! Food was in our view not as good as last time. 39 euros for sir fry prawns and vegtables?

I liked the ambiance and food quality, service is little on slower side but knowing the fact it is always busy, this can be considered OK. excellent location.

After seeing this unusual restaurant 'floating' in the Amsterdam harbour whilst on a canal sightseeing trip, we returned in the evening to give it a try. We were told that the Sea Palace in Amsterdam was the 2nd largest 'floating' Chinese restaurant in the world - second only to Hong Kong. When we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation (which we did not) and were told that there would be a 30 minute wait, so we had a drink at the very opulent bar in the centre of the restaurant and were actually shown to our table just 15 minutes later. We decided to try the 'Peking Duck' set menu, which was not cheap at 50 euros per person, but we were not disappointed. The food was excellent and the service was efficient but friendly. At the end of the meal my husband actually said to me that this was the best Chinese meal that he had ever had! Praise indeed, as we've had quite a few!

The restaurant was near our hotel (Grand Amrath). My sister-in-law suggested we try this Chinese restaurant. There were a lot of choices on the menu. The wait staff was friendly and helpful with suggestions. There is a view of the canal/waterfront area from the windows in the dining room.

Huge restaurant, nice view over the water, extravagant Chinese decor. My kids loved the food (noodles, rice, spring roles and the such). Nothing too exceptional or special. You will find all the regular Chinese highlights here plus a small selection of dim sum.
Service is rather friendly and very fast; But, we were here twice and both times one of the dishes we orders was left in the kitchen...
