Description: The glamour of long lost times enters the modern day at the Pulitzer's Bar. This timeless hotel bar tells a contemporary tale of cocktail history through a classic menu and an effortlessly elegant atmosphere. Thanks to its makeover in 2016, the interior captures the accessible elegance of old school hotel bars in a monumental Amsterdam building with its own entrance at the Keizersgracht. One could easily flee the bustle of the city, yet overlook its signature canals, in one of the comfortable armchairs around the fireplace or talk the night away at the impressive Art Deco style bar.

“Handling larger groups is a problem”
Reviewed April 21, 2014

The Pulitzers is a 4 star hotel and quite expensive. Based on the price you would expect a top service but therefore the hotel cannot be recommended for people who appreciate an certain extra. The hotel offers an excellent cuisine and amazing chefs (we had breakfast, lunch, dinner and just some snacks). The concierge and the other staff don't seem to be well coordinated - better make sure you do your own bookings for any additional attractions (museum visits, Grachten Tours etc.). The room in the 3rd floor and above are excellent and worth the price. I was a bit surprised that the cleaning staff competed to clean our rooms because the seem to get paid on the amount of rooms they handle. The hotel offers everything you would expect. If only the staff would meet up the expectations of a 4 star hotel.

“Good for a drink or two and for dinner too!”
Reviewed April 19, 2014

We came here after a long day here expecting to have only snacks before retiring, but we got a very nice surprise to know their kitchen closes later than most restaurants in the area (I think 10:30pm). Portions were generous. Not huge, but enough for most of big guys' appetite and quality good for a late dinner.

Ambiance is nice with 2 different rooms that are in one of the old houses from the Canal Ring. The waitress was very efficient too. Quick service and attentive.

“Great lunch menu”
Reviewed January 14, 2014

We went here for lunch, by chance strolling along the beautiful Prinsengracht canal. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and view of the canal. The lunch menu was excellent, but the standout item was a goat's cheese, cranberry relish and radicchio on fig and walnut bread. The service was excellent.
