Description: The Restaurant De Kersentuin has undergone a complete renovation and is now open once again. With a famous history which spans more than 30 years, the restaurant has now moved in an exciting and innovative new direction. The kitchen is in the capable hands of two-starred Michelin chef Stefan van Sprang. Stefan's motto is high-level casual dining with a healthy serving of flair. Among other culinary delights, his menu includes simplified versions of several signature dishes from Aan de Poel.

“Awful food.”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

Awful food, truly awful. The restaurants down the road by Musuem square are much better.

Over priced, a very small menu (only 3 main courses) and awful service.

Buffet was simple yet delightful. Good bacon and cheese quiche. Endless coffee was also a highlight.

“great food in a pleasant setting”
Reviewed September 17, 2012

The food was really nice, intresting amuse and the 3 course dinner was above expectation. The wine was surprising as well, but don't order the port, it's a very "cheap" one. The waitresses were working hard, but it felt a bit chaotic. Still I will definetly going back here

“Garden Hotel”
Reviewed August 3, 2012

Food excellent and very well presented. Friendly, knowledgable staff. Cleanliness exceptional and a beautiful lounge in the hotel to finish off your evening. In Appololaan a most prestigeous area and only a short stroll to a number 5 or 24 tram. Also near to the 16 tram but not as pleasant a walk. Fair amount of parking on the street though we didn't have a car. Can be expensive but all good establishments are.

“Brilliant cuisine”
Reviewed June 10, 2012

We dined there three times as the food was just so superb. Generous serves of creative, clever food presented to perfection with superior style. The food was visually superb and fresh, flavoursome food made this restaurant a place to return to as often as possible. Superb wines. There is even a menu offered with different wines to accompany each dish. Just a wonderful experience. The wait staff are outstanding, so friendly, charming and accommodating.
