Le Zinc is the perfect place for an intimate dinner for 2 or a business dinner for 10 or more. Its cozy but flexible accommodation in a unique old canal warehouse is truly delightful.
Really good food, from fresh and intriguing ingredients is wonderful, accompanied by an international wine list which is comprehensive but affordable.
Service is discreet, highly knowledgeable, and well paced with the quality and number of courses. Dont go there if you want fast food, this is real food and is worth savoring every bite.
Try the cheese board, one of the best around!
You will pay much more in other places for inferior quality, Le Zinc is a real gem!

My wife and I come here each year we are in Amsterdam and we are never disappointed. I was scrolling through this list to find Le Zinc and was shocked to find it so low so I had to write something. By all means make a reservation. The food is fresh, inventive and sublime. The staff are helpful and friendly. The atmosphere is quiet and easy and the food can't be beat. This is the kind of place you would be happy to find anywhere in the world. Finding it on a quiet canal in Amsterdam can't be beat.

Nice canal front location. Not so beautiful in the pouring rain, but imagine a sunlight evening, Wined and dined with two business associates and our wives. Very nice wine list. The menu is very seafood oriented, so if steak is your thing, Le Zinc most likely is not your place. That said, the lamb was excellent as was the tuna steak. Done to perfection and nicely presented. Appetizers were very nicely presented and quite tasty. Ambience catered equally as well to our quiet 'business' dinner as it did to the couples nestled into cozy corners of the loft dining area. Parking is a nightmare. Take a cab.

We found this restaurant online and decided to try it as it is quite near our home.
The restauant ambiance is very good and it was quite busy, even for the holiday period.
The food is very good and the wine list is very impressive - both at reasonable prices.
The service as attentive yet discreet.
Overall a very plesant evening with some really delicious food and wine.

We found this restaurant while walking along the Prinsengracht one afternoon. It is in a converted canal house with exposed wooden beams and rustic furnishings. We sat on the upper floor overlooking the canal.Food was beautifully prepared and presented. There was a wonderful wine list. Our best meal in Amsterdam cost us 170 euro for two.
