Yes, we are lucky enough to travel the world and eat in some of the world's most fantastic restaurants. Ciel Bleu was excellent. We don't drink alcohol and we say it straight out when they ask us if we want champagne - they offered a non- alcoholic champagne alternative. Gold star! Then the sommelier mixed fruit cocktails to match our courses as though we were drinking wine. He came and explained what he was doing with each drink! Why he had added what he added to each mix. Simply stunning. Yes, we are happy to pay for this and if other restaurants offered it, then we would be so happy.
The service was understated and very friendly. The view excellent and the restaurant decor itself was also great ( we often say that restaurants with a view suffer from boring interiors - not this one)
The food was sublime, at a level of taste and experimentation that we expect, but don't always receive.
Overall an excellent start to our holiday in a culinary sense.
